Part1 ~ Putting Down What Was Never Ours to Carry
Queen Sister, can I ask you something?
When was the last time you truly exhaled?
Not between tasks, not between responsibilities, not between the needs of everyone around you. I mean a real exhale... the kind that comes from the deep places. The kind that says,
I am safe here. I can let it go now.
If you had to think about it for more than a second, this is for you.
There is something we do as women that nobody really talks about. We collect things... quietly, carefully, and often without even realizing it. Not things you can touch or see. I am talking about the weight of guilt you have collected and have been carrying since that decision you made three years ago, or ten years ago, or maybe just last Tuesday. The regret that wraps itself around your chest at night when everything gets quiet. The unrealistic expectations that found their way onto your shoulders... some that others placed there, and if we are honest, some you placed there yourself. We carry it all. And we carry it quietly. We smile through Sunday service, show up for our friends, pour into our families, and make it look effortless... Because that is what we do... But Queen Sister... you were never meant to carry all of that. I remember a season in my life when I had convinced myself that the weight I was carrying was simply the cost of being a woman who loved God and loved people. I thought the guilt meant I cared. I thought the pressure meant I was serious about my calling. I thought releasing the regret would somehow mean that the hard things I had walked through did not matter. What I did not understand then is what I want to share with you now.
Carrying weight that does not belong to you is not faithfulness. It is not strength. And it is certainly not what God intended when He called you into this life.
You were not designed for the burden. You were designed for the journey. And there is a beautiful, breathtaking difference between the two.
Resting in God's grace is not about minimizing what happened. It’s not about pretending the hard thing was not hard. It is about trusting that His grace is large enough to cover the very things you have been holding onto so tightly... the mistakes, the missed moments, the versions of yourself you are still learning to forgive.
Romans 8:1 says it plainly: "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
NO condemnation. Not some. Not most. None.
God has already written a different ending over everything you have been carrying.
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10 AM, meet us at TCTA; we are creating a space where we can sit down and discuss this together. There will be food, fun, and fellowship, so come as you are. Not polished. Not put together. Just you, exactly as you are today, with the quiet hope that maybe... No… it’s definitely and finally time to put it all down!
We are going to rest in God's grace together, remind one another that freedom is not something we have to earn, and walk out of that room a little lighter than we walked in.
You do not have to walk this journey alone, Queen Sister.
Let's put down what was Never Yours to Carry!
We are saving a seat just for you. Register for it on Eventbrite.com https://bit.ly/4enlHqg
