Release What Doesn't Belong to You

Queens, last week we acknowledged that many of the burdens we carry were never assigned to us by God. Many of us know about surrender, but we still carry the burden because we've convinced ourselves that holding on somehow keeps us in control.

We took time to name them and write them down. We agreed that what you refuse to release will eventually drain your joy, your peace, your energy, and your purpose because God never intended for His daughters to carry emotional luggage everywhere we go.

Saturday, we quoted 1 Peter 5:7: "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. We noted the word "casting" isn't placing something gently beside you.  Casting means throwing it away from yourself and placing it into God's hands.

This week we are going to RELEASE... Now that we have identified and named those things, we are going to let them go!

This week’s assignment: We are going to write a letter that you will not send.

 Address it to:

  • yourself,

  • a person,

  • a situation,

  • a disappointment,

  • or even your fear.

Write honestly.

Tell it:

  • how it hurt you,

  • what you've been carrying,

  • what you're choosing to release,

  • and why you are giving it to God.

When you're finished:

Pray over the letter.

Read 1 Peter 5:7 aloud.

Then tear the letter into pieces or safely discard it as a physical reminder that you're no longer carrying what belongs to God.

Every morning this week, declare…

"Today I refuse to carry what God has already offered to carry for me.

I choose peace over pressure, faith over fear, and freedom over emotional baggage."

And every time you catch yourself worrying, replaying the past, or carrying guilt, pause and ask: "Is this my burden...or God's?"  If the answer is God's, release it immediately through prayer.

Crown Check

You were crowned for purpose—not for pressure.

LuvUs, Vee
