Never consent to becoming a victim of the world's busy-ness and fussy pursuits. Your future is bright with opportunities to rise high above your current status. There is enormous power inside you! Do not settle for less and then later gaze about disheartened, wondering what happened to your promised breakthrough. In the washing and flushing of reckless activities, your mind can rinse itself of the sweet rain of heaven. Milk and honey flow at your ankles, but when you set your feet afar from the God you become tired, bruised, and calloused at tasks you weren't called to do. Now is the time to take hold of the opportunities God has set before you. Now is the time to expand your faith and your trust in Him. Oh! how God loves you!

God has place choices before you, laid out precious stones for your foundation, and given you wisdom as a co-partner with visions and dreams to enlarge your understanding. Can you feel God's spirit gently guiding you to remain on the path? God has prepared a path just for you. He is closer than you think, beloved. Lay aside your agenda for a moment. Quiet your mind and allow your thoughts and your many needs and worries to hush in the Presence of Perfection. Can you hear His thoughts as He speaks to you? Allow His spirit to do His job.

Remember He is the potter and you are the clay, your peace will increase in the quiet place where He is waiting for you daily. It is not the pressures in life that are so weakening dear one, it is the absence of His spirit that wearies the soul. It matters not what disorder or trouble swirls around you, God is here and your path is sure. Worldly plans will get you nowhere, but the Father's plan for your life is external and beautiful. STAY ON THE PATH.

I agree with the statement, ”Where there is a woman there is magic!” Please do not confuse the word magic to mean supernatural abilities. I am talking about what a woman can accomplish before God steps in with His supernatural provision! In this time of reality TV and tell all talk shows, there is not much room for mystery and the mesmerizing power of charm and etiquette. Have you ever noticed a woman who seems to have it all together? Have you ever secretly thought, “How does she do it? How does she seem to effortlessly ‘bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan,’ and never let her man or children forget they are loved?”

I recall a conversation with an old friend that really blessed me. She asked, “How did you do it back then?” “Do what?”, I replied as I could not imagine doing anything significant in those days. As we continued in conversation, I remember thinking that her observation of my life was different from my reality. I was a single mom at the time. From her viewpoint, I had it all together – she commented that my children were mannerable, fashionably and neatly dressed, she thought my little Geo Spectrum hatchback was perfect, (not knowing it would take me several trips to transport cheerleaders and basketball players to and from games), and she felt that I was always well put together. I didn’t see it that way…. In reality, I would start dinner in my work clothes and heels because changing into something more comfortable would throw off the entire evening’s well planned schedule of cooking dinner, eating, cleaning up, homework x2, washing and ironing school uniforms, wiping tears, smoothing out school frustrations, fussing about dirty rooms and whose turn it was to take out the trash. I remember going in my room at the end of the night, reflecting on the day’s events. I would be in tears thankful and grateful to God for what He provided.

Back then, I remember observing other women and wondering how do they did it? They appeared to be flawless, seemed to have it altogether. And as I pondered the conversation with my friend, I realized that I too possessed a certain mystery and allure. I realized that back then I learned to take joy in the simple beauty of my life. Instead of always wondering why life is the way it is. I found joy and peace in understanding that God has a plan for my life and the life of my children. You simply Let Go and Let God. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Emily Dickerson said, “To live is so startling, it leaves little time for anything else.” We can embrace a SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL LIFE if we trust God, have a grateful heart, and live in the mystery of His plan.

The day we find out we are going to become a mom, is one of the most exciting days there is. However, within a few weeks, then months and finally years we ask ourselves…..can I really do this? We are possibly thinking, I didn’t go to the Mothers 101 Class☺. We may even think at times, I have no degree or prior experience, being a mom is for life, the salary is zero, the hours are long and non-negotiable and it comes with no paid benefits. However, within a short amount of time we find ourselves saying, YES I CAN DO THIS…..and I wouldn’t change a THING!!!!

We mom’s, whether you are a birth mom, adopted mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother, spiritual mom, and the list of moms goes on and on, are in a special class all by ourselves!!! There are over 85 million of us who get to be called “mom”. I’m happy and honored to help make up this number!!

Before we became mothers, GOD laid the road map for us with some incredible examples for us to follow:

Sarah: The Mother Who Waited

Hagar: The Mother Who Endured

Rebekah: The Mother Who Believed

Leah and Rachel: The Mothers Who Had to Share

Jochebed: The Mother with a Plan

Hannah: The Mother Who Kept Her Promise

Naomi: The Mother-in-Law Who Shared Her Faith

Hannah: The Mother Who Kept Her Promise

Elizabeth: The Mother Who Believed in Miracles

Mary: The Mother Who is Blessed among Women

_________________________________________ my mom!!

You repeat a name of your choice

A mother’s loves is right from the start No matter if her children are near or far apart A mother gives never ending love Giving comfort and peace like our Heavenly Father above For us she gives nothing but her best Even when we push her love to the test A mother is forever wiping away our tears Never stop chasing away our fears She encourages us to follow our dreams No matter how far fetched they may seem Her gifts can never compare to any other Just knowing how blessed we are to call our mom “mother”. I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!!!!!!
