As the spring season approaches, my mind drifts to think of what's to come: brighter days with sprouts the will soon be in full bloom, rain and rainbows with new sounds and aromas circulating in the air. I'm excited to see nature and witness God's marvelous works. This will happen because of what has been sown. We will see growth of seeds planted in good soil, un-scorched by the summer sun. Spring will be the manifestation of seeds sown that have withstood the darker days of fall and the chill of a cold winter.
1 Corinthians 3:6 NLT states, "(Paul) planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow," Paul's task had been to plant a spiritual seed. Apollos' job was to water the seed. God gave growth. God provides increase.
As I anticipate growth in the natural, it is my desire that my loved ones will grow spiritually. As they develop in their relationship with God, I pray they understand His love, power, authority, and their identity in Him. Scripture reveals that my own efforts will only plant the seed or water it. It is God who makes it grow. God provides increase. I am to be content that I have planted in and watered good ground.
You have the Word, God's promise, concerning loved ones and those connected to us. Have faith in God's promises. In His timing the seeds you planted will grow. Continue planting good seeds and watering your family and those connected to you. They are good ground. God will make them grow.
The concept of sowing and reaping is manifested in both natural and spiritual principles. I ask you, who have you been tasked with in whom to sow good seed and water?
2 Corinthians 9:6 NLT ...the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. Make the choice to sow consistently into others generously of your time, skills, talents and resources. Water them with love, joy, patience, kindness, and gentleness. Sow into others by speaking words that are wise and giving instructions with kindness. Sow wherever you are into whomever you meet. Water by continuously declaring and affirming with the word.
2 Corinthians 9:7 NLT states..."For God loves a person who gives cheerfully." As you enter into this new season sow and water cheerfully. Your relationship with others will blossom, your relationship with God will bloom too. Ecstatically anticipate the season to Bloom & Be Great!
